Are You Ready to Squirm Like a Worm on a Hook?
Do you ever feel called to do something or be something? I imagine this is an ancient yearning to grow and evolve. It is the drive to learn how the Universe works and was the inception of art and science. This is the Divine Urge that is within all beings to transform and co-create.
Personally, I have always felt this calling but in the culture of achieving, gaining success and fame, it was something I hid from. No matter how much I wanted to know the Divine, the world of circumstance didn’t appear to have room for “kooky nuts” or “Woo-woo” people like me. Hence the hiding or avoidance of my true calling.
I have a dear friend and wise woman who says that when she is facing her destiny, she begins to “squirm like a worm on a hook.” I understand the squirming. However, now is the time to not only face the calling but step into the fullness of that expression. What does that mean? For me, it means being fully me, with all my Woo stuff and stand in my power. The power that is my birthright. The power of Love and Light.
Now the squirming gets more intense. ;)
By standing in my truth, I am exposed to all the things I have hidden from. The fear of persecution and not being accepted. Having my opinion and Truth investigated and possibly torn apart. The squirming comes from feeling exposed; feeling vulnerable.
Vulnerable is actually the most honest we can be. It means there are no longer any masks to hide behind or from. Vulnerable has a negative connotation of being susceptible to harm or attack; in need of special care or protection. But what if there could be a new way to describe vulnerable? What if it means standing up for your Truth and what you believe in no matter what? What if to be vulnerable becomes part of your foundation to love more fully? Allowing your “unprotected” heart to love everyone and everything with as little fear as possible? To be the Light Leader that you have been called to be, even though you may be squirming like a worm on a hook? NOW is the time to stand up. To BE who you ARE meant to be and serve the Higher Good.
Squirming like a worm, baby!
